FAQ: CYO Precut Quilt Kit Questions

What’s a “C-Y-O precut quilt kit”?  “C-Y-O” stands for “Create-Your-Own”.  At Stitch Simple, we let you choose the fabrics for your precut quilt kit.  And once you’ve purchased a precut quilt kit, you can refill it with different fabrics to make that same quilt pattern over and over again.

What is Quilt Kit du Jour?  Quilt Kit du Jour is our daily pick of fabrics for a CYO precut quilt kit.  The new Quilt Kit du Jour is posted by noon CST every weekday and is available in both kits and refills.  We also put together fat quarter packs with the day's featured fabrics for quick and easy purchase.  Our customers love choosing their own fabrics for a kit, but we can all use a little inspiration sometimes.  And that's exactly what we're serving up everyday with Stitch Simple Quilt Kit du Jour.  

Can I still buy a retired Stitch Simple CYO precut quilt kit?  Once a CYO precut quilt kit pattern sells out, only refills are available for purchase.  We have been known to bring back popular retired quilt kit patterns, however, so please Contact Us and let us know which retired kit you're interested in.  We'll use this information to make future decisions for kit pattern availability.

Do refills cost the same as a precut quilt kit?  No, the refill price is simply the sum of the prices for the precut quilt squares and rectangles required to make the quilt again.  Precut quilt kit refills do not contain instruction manuals, practice packs or emergency kits, which allows us to pass those savings on to you!

Can I order refills at the same time as the kit?  You certainly can.

If I received a CYO precut quilt kit as a gift, how will Stitch Simple know that I'm eligible to purchase refills?  We check order history on every refill purchase to verify eligibility.  If you received your kit as a gift, your refill purchase would be flagged as not eligible and we would contact you for your original order ID number.  This number is printed in the top right corner of the copy of your design that came with your kit.  To expedite your order, you can include this number in the Order Comments and Special Requests box during checkout.

For how long can I use the Quilt Kit Support Line?  There is absolutely no time limit for calls to the Quilt Kit Support Line and you can contact us as many times as you need to.  You can also contact us if you have a question when making a quilt with a quilt kit refill.  If you call us about an older quilt kit, it just might take us a little bit of extra time to refresh our memories, but we hold true to our promise:  If you buy a Stitch Simple precut quilt kit and aren't quilting like an expert, we come to your rescue.

Are the fabric images on the CYO precut quilt kit preview pages scaled?  Absolutely!  We take great care in creating all of the fabric images you see on Stitch Simple to make certain you get the best representation of your finished quilt as possible.
